OUTSIDER ARTIST COLLECTIVE: 'Under One Sky'TATE EXCHANGE FEB 2018 NOTTINGHAM CONTEMPORARY ZEBRARIO RESIDENCY 2019
As practitioners we are interested in exchanges of knowledge, via different communication systems such as speaking, listening, imagery etc. Open ended conversations create an environment for exchange and allows change for better socialisation. We are all under the same sky yet leading different lives, from a social perspective, learning perspective and an individual way of looking at the world. We occupy a space that constantly moves. We are all shooting through space and yet sharing the same limited resources. We may be connected globally via the internet, yet we are socially disparate. The ideas are to track daily life, the sun and movements of the earth that connect us all, using photographic processes.
Whilst making we will encourage conversations that are distilled by the making processes, broaching notions around what is going on in Southwark and how that relates to inner city Nottingham. Do we have the same sense of community? What happens in these spaces? What are the differences and similarities.
